Biography
Nancy Arthur is a Professor and Dean Research, College of Business and Law, Adelaide University; and Professor Emerita, University of Calgary, where she was awarded a Canada Research Chair in professional education for diversity and social justice. Nancy’s program of research in the field of career development focuses on culture-infused career counselling, and the work transition experiences of youth and international students. Nancy is an elected Fellow of the Canadian Psychological Association and received the 2024 European Society for Vocational Designing and Career Counseling award. Nancy served as a Vice-President of the International Association for Educational and Vocational Guidance.
Dr Jon Woodend is an Assistant Professor in Counselling Psychology at the University of Victoria (Canada), a Registered Psychologist (Alberta), and an Associate Lecturer in the College of Business, Law and Governance at JCU (Australia). His research program is focused on supporting the international career transitions of newcomers (international students and accompanying partners, immigrant workers). Dr Woodend’s research primarily uses qualitative research approaches to understand the lived and contextualized experiences of newcomers, with a theoretical emphasis on systems influences between newcomers and communities.

Biography
William Gunawan is an educator and lifelong learner who integrates psychology, theology, and career development through research, training, consulting, counseling, and coaching. He currently serves as the Dean and an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Psychology, Universitas Kristen Krida Wacana (UKRIDA). He is also a Certified Leadership Coach at Cherish Indonesia and the Founder & Chairman of the Center for Career Development & Assessment (CCDA). Previously appointed as the Indonesia Country Director of the Asia Pacific Career Development Association (APCDA), William actively promotes intergenerational and international collaboration in education and professional development. His academic and professional journey reflects a strong commitment to advancing holistic human growth and employability.

Co-Designing Youth Apprenticeship Pathways: Indigenous and Community-Based Methods for Equitable Workforce Development
Biography
Dr. V. Scott H. Solberg is Professor at Boston University Wheelock College of Education and Human Development and Co-Director of the Wheelock Center for Future Readiness (WCFR). He is internationally recognized for research that advances systems change in education and workforce development policy and practice at scale. Using an implementation science lens, his work identifies how evidence-based career and workforce development practices can be effectively adopted, scaled, and sustained across diverse settings. Dr. Solberg partners with states, districts, workforce boards, and community-based organizations to design coordinated infrastructure that connects schools, postsecondary pathways, and employer systems. His international collaborations include work in Singapore and India, where he has supported efforts to strengthen career development systems, build educator capacity, and expand equitable access to workforce pathways in rapidly evolving economies. As a leader in Individualized Career Planning (i.e., Individualized Learning Plans), Dr. Solberg’s work integrates career development with social-emotional learning to strengthen youth identity, agency, and long-term economic mobility. His research and technical assistance have informed policies and practices reaching millions of students nationwide. He has authored numerous publications translating research into scalable strategies for system leaders, including Making School Relevant with Individualized Learning Plans (Harvard Education Press), and co-edited major volumes on career and workforce development.
