Biography

Dr. Lorraine Godden is a consultant for Higher Education & Beyond and also holds several academic roles including Associate Faculty at Yorkville University, Faculty of Douglas College, and at Carleton University as the National Implementation Lead for FUSION (a national skills development program focused on serving equity deserving groups). Lorraine has a PhD in Educational Policy, M.Ed. in Culture and Policy Studies (both Queen’s University), is a Qualified Teacher and a Certified Career Development Professional. Lorraine has designed and delivered many work-integrated learning, career, and skills development courses, workshops, and webinars and has created impactful and effective research and stakeholder engagement for provincial and federal policy and programs. Lorraine’s research agenda focusses on the intersection between education and career and includes focused investigation on the role of mentorship and personal learning as effective mechanisms to support wellbeing and life fulfilment. Lorraine has an extensive publication record in international and national journals and conferences, and her work has been funded by many different federal and provincial government agencies.
