TRAVEL & VISA INFORAMTION
We love welcoming visitors to New Zealand, and we want your trip to be smooth and stress-free — so it helps to get your travel details sorted before you head off!
Before you travel to New Zealand, make sure your passport is valid for at least three months after the date you plan to leave the country. If you’re from a country that does need a New Zealand visa to visit, make sure you apply with plenty of time to spare.
You do not need a visa to visit New Zealand if you are:
Some countries you transit through on the way here might also require a transit visa, so it’s good to check that too (like Australia’s transit rules). Travellers eligible to transit without a visa.
If you’re not sure whether you need an NZeTA or a visitor visa, the best place to check is the New Zealand Immigration website — they’ve got tools to help figure it out.
If you do, make sure you apply before you book your flights — most NZeTA applications are quick, but it’s good to give yourself a bit of buffer.
If you’re from a non-visa-waiver country, you must apply for a visitor visa well before you travel. The conference cannot be responsible for visas that are declined or delayed, so it’s safest to apply as early as possible — ideally more than six weeks before your travel date, and up to three months ahead if you can.
Once you’ve sorted your entry requirements and you’re on your way, you’ll be all set to enjoy your time here!
